2-Day Saadani Express Safari (From Dar es Salaam)

Overview

A quick beach-meets-bush escape from Dar es Salaam. Enjoy an afternoon game drive on Day 1 and a sunrise drive on Day 2, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, antelopes, and rich birdlife along the coast. Optional Wami River boat safari can be added if time allows.
Drive time Dar → Saadani: ~4–5 hours (traffic/road conditions).

Itinerary

Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Saadani (Afternoon Game Drive)

Morning pick-up from your hotel/airport in Dar es Salaam and drive to Saadani via Bagamoyo.
Arrive, lunch, and check-in at your lodge/camp near the park.
Afternoon game drive in Saadani: look for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, wildebeest, and coastal birds.
Sunset at the beach/river area, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Sunrise Game Drive → Return to Dar es Salaam

Early sunrise game drive for the best wildlife activity and soft light for photos.
Late breakfast and check-out.
Optional add-on: Wami River boat safari for hippos, crocs, and birds (timing/seasonal; extra cost).
Drive back to Dar es Salaam; drop-off at your hotel/airport in the late afternoon/early evening.
